Centanex Ltd has successfully passed their Certification Audits for international environmental standard, ISO 14001:2015. The company has demonstrated to the auditors from internationally recognised Lloyds Register (LR) that they manage their legal obligations effectively and have a proven method to improve their environmental performance.
Based in Lincolnshire, Centanex Limited specialises in the design, manufacture and supply of pyrotechnic tactical product solutions including training and consulting to global Ministries of Defence, Police, and other government agencies. The need for Centanex Ltd to implement an environmental management system was driven by customer expectations, legal compliance and a stated business aim to improve environmental performance. The benefits of implementing an environmental management system that meet the requirements of the international standard ISO 14001:2015 also helped the company to raise employee awareness and engage with suppliers effectively.
Adam Shorter, Centanex Compliance Manager said
‘The implementation of an Environmental Management System that integrated with our Quality system (ISO 9001) and that met the high standards of ISO 14001:2015 Standard was an opportunity to evaluate our existing processes, strive towards a paperless working environment and has led to the introduction of a range of new technologies’
