Reaching new standards

Congratulations to the The Mobility Aids Centre who have successfully transitioned their ISO management system to the new ISO 9001:2015 standard. This new quality certification has helped the organisation achieve it's stringent objectives for customer service and growth. The Peterborough based company passed their ISO 9001 audit by NQA in May 2016. Milton Keynes based ISO Consultants, Spedan Ltd worked with the Mobility Aids centre management and staff to ensure that the new ISO management system was practically and efficiently applied to the business. Jason Watling, Centre Manager said,

"The Mobility Aids Centre found the process of transition to ISO9001:2015 very straightforward. We received great support from our ISO consultants Spedan Ltd, who took us through the changes step by step, from considering our business context, updating our Quality Manual to successfully passing the audit.”

The Mobility Aids Centre is a UK based retailer that supplies disabled people and their families with equipment to enhance quality of life through their retail store and online shopping channel. With over 30 years experience, they offer a wide range of cost effective disability aids to the elderly and disabled through a comprehensive product range, which includes wheelchairs, mobility scooters, adapted furniture and small living aids. Unrivalled and ongoing support is a key service feature, important to a large and growing customer base.

Adam Faiers - Director

Adam has been working on Quality and Environmental management systems for most of his career in small, medium and corporate organisations. A keen advocate of the ISO approach as a platform for improvement, Adam ensures that systems are practical and useful for Managers and Staff to use.

Following a number of years working on software development projects, Adam has diversified into Information Security and Business Continuity management. Keen to formalise his industry experience, he is currently undertaking a Diploma in Business Continuity Management at Buckingham University.

Adam has a PhD from Cranfield University and now supports the MSc Environmental Management programmes through the advisory panel and visiting lectures.
