AE Rubber celebrate ISO 9001 success

Congratulations to AE Rubber (UK) Ltd who have successfully transitioned to the revised ISO 9001:2015 standard. The Peterborough based company passed their quality management transition audit by Certification Body NQA in March 2017.

Alister Constantine, Director at Spedan Ltd, worked with the management team to ensure that the new system was practically and efficiently applied to the business.

Managing Director of AE Rubber Karl Snitch said

"We found the process of transition to ISO9001:2015 really very straightforward. We received great support from our consultants Spedan Ltd, who took us through the changes and additions to the international Quality Management standard step by step. They covered everything, from considering our business context, updating our Quality Manual and process maps, to successfully passing the audit.”

AE Rubber (UK) Ltd based in Yaxley, near to Peterborough specialise in the manufacture and supply of engineered rubber and plastic components, seals and hoses for customers across Europe, Asia and America. Their products are found in a huge range of vehicles, earth moving and construction equipment, domestic appliances, lighting and pumping systems as well as electronic control, aviation, motorsport and machinery applications. They manufacture rubber and plastic mouldings from 1g or several kg, gaiters, moulded hoses and other components and assemblies in productions runs of a few highly specialised items to millions.

Karl also said that

Quality Management and ISO 9001 certification is expected by our customers, and the new version of the Standard provides us with a practical business framework, as well as a platform for continuous improvement”

Adam Faiers - Director

Adam has been working on Quality and Environmental management systems for most of his career in small, medium and corporate organisations. A keen advocate of the ISO approach as a platform for improvement, Adam ensures that systems are practical and useful for Managers and Staff to use.

Following a number of years working on software development projects, Adam has diversified into Information Security and Business Continuity management. Keen to formalise his industry experience, he is currently undertaking a Diploma in Business Continuity Management at Buckingham University.

Adam has a PhD from Cranfield University and now supports the MSc Environmental Management programmes through the advisory panel and visiting lectures.
